My name is Lauren Lasher. I have spent the majority of my life in Newtown; before that I lived in NewYork. I graduated from Nonnewaug High School in 2006, where I was part of the Vo-Ag program and took classes specializing in Equine (horse) management. From there I went to Morrisville State College, where I majored in Equine Science & Management. After a semester there, I came back to CT and have been going to Naugatuck Valley Community College since. I plan on transferring to Western Connecticut State University and graduating at the end of 2010 with a bachelors in Business Administration.

I work full time at a horse barn in Newtown. Although its is very consuming of both your time and energy, I can say that I honestly love what I do. I deal with most aspects of horse care and barn management, but the majority of my time is spent training young horses, and teaching lessons. When I am not working, I am still doing horse related things, whether it is taking lessons from other trainers, going to clinics, or working towards certifications I am constantly trying to broaden my horizons and become the most well rounded horseman I can become.
